Mentorship

Are you a college student considering a career in the arts but don’t know where to look? Or have you been working in the arts because you love it but wished you had more guidance? Look no further and participate in genARTS’ FREE Mentorship program!

genARTS aims to provide services that connect, educate, and inspire young professionals to seek leadership positions in the Arts of Silicon Valley. The goals of the Mentorship program are:

  • To strengthen the skills and boost professional confidence and competency of the mentees and support professional and career development by identifying and working on specific areas of his or her practice
  • To enhance the professional abilities of participating mentors through their efforts in guiding and coaching, and to provide an opportunity for them to play a critical role in equipping the next generation leaders in the arts
  • To foster collegial relationships between seasoned and emerging arts leaders
  • To provide a forum for open discussions and peer support for emerging arts leaders
