Who is the typical person of genARTS Silicon Valley Network?

The network of genARTS Silicon Valley is comprised of emerging arts leaders from across Santa Clara County and beyond – the early to mid-career professionals who are this valley’s arts and cultural leaders of the future. genARTS network comes from a wide variety of backgrounds and mediums which include work in fine & contemporary art, dance, film, multimedia, music, performance art, poetry, and theatre.

While the Emerging Leaders Network at Americans for the Arts, upon which we are based, targets “professionals who are 35 years of age or younger or who have less than five years of experience…” we realize that emergence as a leader in the arts may occur at any age. Every person’s path to arts leadership is a unique and individual journey and timeline. As such, genARTS Silicon Valley has no barriers to or guidelines for participation based on age or experience.
